      Bug
When letting sand fall on top of top snow, or placing it directly on 8 layers of top snow, it will drop the sand as an item, instead of replacing the snow

      Steps to reproduce
      1. Open any world
      2. Place down a couple of top snow, or 8 to easier replicate it
      3. Let sand fall down on top of it

      Expected result
Sand will replace the top snow / will stay on the 8 layers of top snow

      Observed result
Sand gets destroyed and drops as an item

      Media
See a video on how to replicate it. You can see sand can still replace top snow if you directly place on it, but when you let it fall it will break as an item. Sand broken on top snow.mp4

I have also attached this video that shows how it was in 1.18.12: Sand replacing top snow in 1.18.12.mp4
