Summary:
Players wearing armor take less damage from burning when standing in fire.
This bug also existed in Java Edition and was fixed in 1.16 Pre-release 3: MC-171618.
Steps to Reproduce:
- Equip a full set of diamond or netherite armor
- Light a block of netherrack on fire
- Switch to Survival mode
- Stand in the fire
- Observe how much damage the player takes
- Move out of the fire
- Observe how much damage the player takes
Observed Results:
The player takes less burning damage when standing in the fire.
Expected Results:
Players standing in fire should take the same amount of burning damage as when they are not standing in it.
