Summary:
Cloned MCPE-55968 to log a new occurrence of Character Creator profiles not loading in correctly.

Steps taken from this comment:

Making a character on a different platform such as Android then reopening the same one on Windows 10 does not load at all and vice versa. I don't know how to force it to load since the Edit button becomes greyed out instead, only the delete character button is available.

Steps to Reproduce:

1. Obtain and equip a new character creator item (from the new years celebration, for instance)
2. Exit the game
3. Load Minecraft on a separate device, and sign in with the same MSA
4. Open the Character Creator and observe the character that you edited in step 1

Observed Results:
The character fails to load.

Expected Results:
The characters should sync correctly.

Notes:
Potential workaround - open the character creator to view all of the applied character creator content that was applied in step one. This appears to cache the content and allows the profile to load.
