Not sure if this is a bug or a feature, but regardless, it's annoying.

Basically, when you fly around in creative, it's useful to stop flying and start falling. But for some reason, if you wear an elytra, you automatically start flying with it if you fall, whereas before, you had to start falling and then press space to use the elytra, which makes more sense.
