There are a lot of blending issues in Minecraft. I feel like terrain blocks such as dirt, stone, grass, etc. should only blend. Sometimes, mushrooms and trees try to blend in causing some weird formations such as trees not having leaves, etc. Sometimes, even Obsidian forms weird things.
