All sound from all apps stops when I open the game (including the game itself of course). Unlike some past issues, there is no staticky or distorted noise, just silence. All sound (from other sources) returns when I close the game.

      I have tried:

      • F3+S and F3+T  (both did nothing)
      • closing and reopening the game (no effect)
      • checking if the app is muted (it's not)
      • resetting the audio drivers (no effect)
      • checking in-game sound settings (all maxed out)
      • checking windows game bar sound settings (maxed out)
      • rebooting my pc (no effect)
      • 'resetting' the app (through windows app settings) which deleted all the app data (not sure if this does the same thing as a reinstall or not)
      • uninstalling and reinstalling the game through the Microsoft store (no change)

I kept the reinstall as a last ditch option but since it hasn't worked I'm totally lost for what to do. Has anyone else experienced this?
