      Greetings,

When creating new seeds in Minecraft 1.17.41 on Windows 10, I am running into an issue with the location of the bonus chest appearing underground when I enable Caves and Cliffs under Experiments in game settings.. This issues occurs whether you are in Creative or Survival mode.

Current Behavior: Bonus Chest appears underground when you spawn into new world.

Expected behavior: Bonus Chest appears at ground level when you spawn into new world.

      Steps to recreate:

      1. Launch Minecraft
      2. Select Play
      3. Select Create New
      4. Select Create New World
      5. Put in any World Name you want
      6. Set Default Game Mode to:
        1. Creative - Select Continue from the Turn off achievements window that appears
        2. Survival and then continue to next step.
      7. Leave Difficulty on default setting (Normal)
      8. Under World Preferences select Bonus Chest
      9. Under Seed, leave it blank
      10. Set Simulation distance to 8 chunks
      11. Under World options, enable Show Coordinates
      12. Under Experiments, enable Caves and Cliffs
      13. From the Activate Experimental Gameplay? window that appears, select Activate Experiments
      14. Don't change any other settings and then select the Create button
      15. You will appear in your seed at the spawn location without a bonus chest appearing next to you (see picture). The elevation at the spawn point in this example is 66.
      16. Aim you cursor straight down and start breaking block until you get to room underground where chest appears (see next image)
      17. In this example the Chest appears at elevation -43.
      18. The seed number for this example is 1166430434.
      19. Press Escape
      20. Select Save & Quite
      21. Wait for world to save....
      22. Select Create New
      23. Select Create New World
      24. Under World Preferences enable Bonus Chest
      25. Under Experiments, leave Caves and Cliffs disabled
      26. Select Create
      27. Wait for World to generate
      28. You span into world with chest at ground level (see image)
      29. The seed number for second example is -1094674368.
