Enchanted armor appears transparent only between the glints in the armor within the inventory screen. This is not very noticeable with the vanilla textures, but is noticeable enough.

this was realized when I loaded a texture pack which modified the enchantment glint texture.

In the attached images, I have attached both in the vanilla and with a texture pack
