Mountains no longer generate peaks in this beta version. It's a bit difficult to provide a specific seed to prove it because there is no way to compare it to a previous version due to the generation changes, but by comparing multiple mountains in multiple worlds to the latest Java snapshot, you can see that the peaks (also called jagged cliffs) don't generate, all mountain biomes are lumpy like snowcapped peaks
