So I was playing Minecraft, and I made a nether portal. I went in to make sure it was safe, then went back to the overworld to grab some resources. I went back to the nether and did some bartering with some nearby piglin. I went back to the portal to the over world (the same one I used before), and I was spit out someplace random with a new nether portal. I went back to the nether, it put me at the same place as before. I came out, and I was back to a random location. Keep in mind that this was a SINGLEPLAYER WORLD, so there was no way for someone to come build another. Video link should be attached, the video has personal info (i hate notifications sometimes.).
