I create a new one because i think this explanation maybe more informative.. I dont know why all 1.17 users rightnow is not encountering this glitch :< We are so many experiencing this steve glitch my neighbors, classmates, friends online.. but not all of us know how to report issues :< so some of them they just ignoring the glitch and keep on playing :'< so here is how it works.. sometimes when we joined the server.. its normal, the modeled npcs is fine.. anything on the hub is fine.. but when we join the game yeah all of the npc is going to be steve.. all players is steve.. and the glitch is still there if you back to hub and play other games.. and relogging is useless.. its still there :'<<.. its really annoying to play because not just on hive appearing this also to other servers :< we've searching for all of the solutions on internet.. turn off trusted skin on settings.. restarting app or our device.. deleting all datas caches resource packs etc and also reinstalling minecraft.. but the glitch is still there :< ... our device is 8gb ram and we always have a good ping playing on AS region.. then somethings running on my mind.. so we tried to downgrade to 1.16 to see if the glitch is still there.. and yeah! The glitch is gone! But i dont want to downgrade anymore because i dont want to use downloadable on webs because i paid my minecraft.. so i hope someday we will got the answer how is this glitch works and appears to maybe resolve this issue on next update.. i hope :'( :'(  imagine.. playing hide and seek on hive.. all hiders are steve xD.. and murder mystery all coins is steve.. tresure wars.. all tresures is steve..hahaha.. sorry my english is bad, i hope you understand my report thank you so much!
