I was in the main end island and was returning home and went through the fountain portal. I was instantly killed with the death message of "IAMGLADOS27 fell from a high place. I did not fall through the portal. I was killed after re spawning. However, I kept my experience points of 14 and a half after death. When I returned to the portal to recover my (very end-game) items , including an Elytra, diamond pickaxe with mending, and diamond axe with sharpness 3, they were not there, or at the world spawn. I am quite irked as it took approximately 8 hours of gameplay to obtain these items.
