Since around July 13th after I updated to 1.17.10, I have had a peculiar problem where mobs move very slow - but not the player - and the rest of the game has symptoms of lag, but is not laggy for the player. Animals and other NPCs will often go into a super slow state, where when attacked, will do that jump behavior at a snails pace, so I often end up killing animals out of the air. It can take about ten seconds for them to reach the highest point of this arc. Dropped items move very slowly through the air, and items on the ground take longer to be picked up. Another glaring issue is that the day in a new world will start at about noon, then act normal, until after the sun goes all the way down under the horizon. It will then set the time to a little bit before noon again. It may be normal behavior for the game, but I also noticed the sun changing size when it comes within a few degrees of the horizon. These traits seem to have carried over to my old worlds, and regardless of settings in new ones, these bugs persist.
Had I not suspected they were linked very closely, I would have made several individual reports. However, they all popped up right after I updated the game. I have not used Command Blocks, Jigsaw Blocks, or other blocks of their nature of more largely interacting with the world.
