1.17 Bug That Breaks Chunks In 'Old' Worlds on Pocket/Bedrock Edition
Recently while looking through 'Old' worlds, originally generated on older versions of Minecraft Pocket/Bedrock edition on iOS (created pre 0.9.0); major issues regarding the worlds' chunk generation has occurred. (After more testing the same chunk glitch was found to occur on old worlds originally generated on newer versions of Minecraft).
Prior to the realise of 1.17; none of these worlds had any chunk errors due to world corruption, yet after the update many of my worlds that I have generated received the same chunk generation glitch.
This chunk glitch moved the majority of the original chunks out of the world, while replacing the empty space with new chunks (from the same seed if the world was generated post 0.9.0). One example of this is one of my city worlds shifting two full chunks. Although this error could be due to world corruption, the fact that many different worlds received the same chunk error, (including imported backups) post 1.17, makes me believe that this chunk error is due to a bug in the 1.17 update for Minecraft Bedrock Edition, which breaks these worlds.
If this issue is due to the 1.17 update (which seems to be the case, based on my testing); the majority of ‘Old’ worlds generated on Minecraft Pocket/Bedrock edition will likely contain the same chunk error when loaded up on version 1.17.
Because this bug affects the majority of worlds (that I have tested), this issue needs to be fixed as soon as possible, especially if these ‘Old’ Minecraft worlds are permanently affected by this bug on version 1.17.
Hopefully this glitch can be resolved by the next Hotfix update.

Update - After some more testing I have discovered that this bug affects ‘Old’ worlds generated far more recently as well (post 0.9.0).
