Regular Deepslate blocks can't be made into any other types of Deepslate blocks like polished Deepslate using the stonecutter. This is not the same as the older bug involving being unable to make other Deepslate variants in the crafting table. To replicate simply get regular Deepslate (not the cobble variant) and try to use it in the stone cutter, nothing will be shown to create with it.
