When I scrolled around my inventory when I moved into nether portal, it seemed like the portal transported me to the exact same nether coordinate as the overworld (not in 1:8 ratio). Hence, I have to travel over 2000 blocks back to one of the portals in nether. I think this bug can be pretty dangerous for many players since it's pretty difficult to travel around in the nether.
