Sometimes entities freeze for a while. The rest will work normally, only non of the entities will walk, and you can't mine or place blocks. Thought it was an issue with my computer at first, but it even does it on the lowest graphic settings and in worlds with little to no entities. After usually five to ten seconds, everything starts again.
