I was doing commands using /scoreboard and testing for a certain value.
The video attached is 2x speed up, it shows me clicking a button and it giving me unlimited diamond picks, also after the video ended (I cut it out the size was too large) I switched the command block to repeat and it fixed.

      Steps to replicate:

      1. Create an objective and give your player 100 of that objective.
      2. Place a command block with /scoreboard players test @p (objective) 100
      3. Put a comparator facing out of the command block
      4. And put a repeating command block giving a certain item
      5. Place a button on the first command block

The image attached shows what it looks like

      Observed Results:

If it is right you should get infinite of that item instead of 1.

      Expected Results:

You should only get 1 of that item.
