      The bug

      Text does not get highlighted when selected, for example with ctrl+a or with shift+left/right arrow keys. This makes it impossible to see what text is selected.

      Steps to reproduce:

      • Open chat
      • Enter some text
      • Select some text, for example with ctrl+a or with shift+left/right arrow keys.

      → Text is not highlighted, and remains visually unchanged
