So, my issue is on the lag in-game. I have my console updated to the most recent, as well as the game. I play on Nintendo Switch. The world right now is at 38.5 MB.

I've followed the article recommendation to close down the game and power off the console, then restart. This works briefly, but then the lag comes back. Everything was alright for a couple hours after receiving the Minecraft update this morning, but...after coming back into the game it's begun freezing on occasion and really becoming laggy and slow on keeping up with what's going on.

I could just be cutting down trees and it takes awhile to keep up with blocks being cut. This has happened since before the update as well.

I have tried turning down settings of render distance, turning down graphics and honestly a lot of the graphical settings are turned off. This did not help at all. No real changes occurred.

I have basically lowered the necessary graphics to minimum and still have an issue with lag.

The only extra I have in game is the Natural Texture Pack. So, I am not sure what or why.

I think this may be a bug that needs fixing.

Thank you for your help on this : )
