Colored text is very glitchy in pocket edition. I have found a few glitches, which are listed below:

If you type a few words after §

{color_id} and hit delete, it deletes more than one character. The number of characters deleted corresponds to how many text changes (§{color_id}

) are added in that text.

If you edit the text in signs using §, and type in the maximum amount of characters for one line in the sign, and then quit the game and reload that world, a small portion of the text at the end will disappear.

If you type §

{color_id}

to change the color, and type 2 characters, then hit delete, the cursor in the chat will disappear. You can then proceed to type in a correct color_id, but if you mess around with it then it will be impossible to type anything.
