In the Character Creator, I have a skin that is set to the height "Smaller". I joined a world and equipped a shield, and the shield took up a lot of space on the screen. I then set my character to "Tall" and then the shield took up barely any space.

   The pictures below show me crouching with a "Smaller" character and a "Tall" character.
