This issue has gotten worse recently and after the last hot fix update.  Auto save unfortunately cannot be turned off in settings and it runs almost constantly with the little chest icon in the upper right corner of the screen.  At times the game will lag and also occasionally freeze for a moment then unfreeze.  This is quite annoying.  I searched issues but found nothing recent or open or completely relevant with my issue so I decided to post this.
