Whenever you break the top of a door in creative mode, it drops a door item, allowing one to obtain infinite doors. This only happens in creative mode. Typically when you break a block in creative mode, the block doesn't drop anything. To replicate, go in creative mode and place down any door, then break it by clicking the top half of the door, this causes a duplicate door item to drop.
