The new underwater fog matches the Java Edition color, but it doesn't account for the different biome colors. Most predominant biomes on Bedrock have unique water colors, and the new fog is a direct downgrade.
This can be observed easily on these biomes:
- Desert
- Warm ocean
- Taiga
- Swamp
- The End
- The Nether
- Mushroom Island
- Badlands
- Even the default water to an extent.
