1. Version is actually 0.13.1 (not found above)
2. Issue occured after latest update; the minecraft game would launch and then carsh after the white Mojang screen.
3. Found issue to be related to graphics driver "NVIDIA GeForce GT 520MX"
4. Driver version: 10.18.13.5362 relased on 22/07/2015
5. If the driver is disabled the game starts and works fine.
6. If the driver is re-enabled, the game crashes at the start screen again
