Minecraft on Android v1.16.210

The game worked fine for months, now I cannot craft most items. Playing survival I start with nothing, I can get some wood and make planks. The crafting menu shows I can now make sticks, all the items are populated (planks) but the stick item is still highlighted red, even though I have all the planks required.

This is the same for many items - crafting table, sandstone, it seems anything that requires multiple amounts of that resource.

The only thing I can make is a button which is 1 wood to 1 button.

The game is now unplayable.

NO servers have ever been joined in the game, nor extra packs are in use. I do not even sign into an account.

I have already uninstalled and re-installed and the issue is still there.
