PlayStation
System: Playstation 5
Ps5 Free Storage Space: ~300GB
Minecraft World File Size: ~950MB
I’m playing and get the screen that reads, “You are out of storage space and Minecraft is unable to save your progress! Minecraft will return you to the main menu to clear up some storage space.”
I have ONE world, this world, my only world, and no realms. Nothing else. I understand there is a 2GB internal storage cap on Bedrock itself and have tried everything.
I’ve set my simulation distance to 4, render distance to the minimum, turned off every single “fancy” video toggle, have tried running it without any packs what-so-ever, running it without linking to Microsoft, have uninstalled and reinstalled the game itself as well as the saved data and have done so in every possible combination those may entail.
I’ve even swapped the save files back to my PS4 and tried running the world on that system, but I think the 2GB cap is killing it.
Sometimes it lets me back in, but most of the time it still boots with this message.
Has anyone been experiencing the same problem recently? If so, is there a fix for it? Is there any type of reliable work-around/way to edit the game files to up the storage limit/anything at all? And is Mojang aware of this problem on the PS version?
