When a shield is activated and an explosion happened, the player will only get knocked back which is intended but the shield does not take durability loss.
Way to reproduce
- Place a command block then set it to repeat and enter a command that summon explosives(End Crystals are more preferable where it can knock back players further)
- Activate your shield
- make the explosive explode(if it is TNT, no need)
Expected Result: The Player will get knocked back and the shield will take durability loss
Observed Result: The player is still knocked back but the shield does not take durability loss
