Every mobs that riding a boat with the player, then the player leave a boat, the mob will continue driving a boat:

Place a boat
Spawn some mobs until they riding a boat
Ride a boat
Drive the boat until stopped by a block (in front the boat there was block and the boat stopped)
When the "leave a boat" button appear, click the button but do not stop driving a boat
Then the mob that riding a boat will continue driving a boat
Break the block in front the boat
