This bug report is a parity issue with Java.
Summary:
When placed with the command of a pointed dripstone in the air (without support) it breaks, which does not correspond to the java version where it does not break when placed by the command!
Steps to Reproduce:
- Stand in the air.
- Write the command:
/setblock ~ ~ ~ pointed_dripstone ["hanging":false]
Observed Results:
Pointed dripstone will be placed but will break immediately.
Expected results:
Pointed dripstone will be placed and will not break (like in the Java version).

Notes:
Don't say this is a known parity issue between versions! For example, the grass is placed in both versions in the air)
