Not sure if a bug or its a part of the game mechanic.

Alright, this what happened:

I was on survival Normal mode. I was riding a strider above on a lava at that time. Then, I forced close the Minecraft app to run an errand. (i was cooking on that time ). Then when I reopen the app and reopen my world, I was already under the lava and died.

I though i would be still riding the strider if i go back to my world.

Sadly I have no screenshots on that time since it happened very quick and I tried to swim back. (Sorry for being dump trying to fight lava)
