Sometimes the game allows you to walk/be moved to put your head into a solid block if there is an empty space below it that your feet can move into. This causes suffocation, for example, in the end when a shulker hits you and you float to the ceiling.

This seems to toggle on and off randomly, sometimes allowing it, other times not.
