Renaming a map with anvil, thought I'd try a red dye on the map.  Named it Map 1 Red. Placed map in first square.  Placed red dye in second square.  When taking map the screen vanished.  The map and the anvil were gone.  but the red dye was returned to my inventory.  Worked a long time to fill in that map :-/
