i can click and hear the button being clicked but nothing happens, the screen stays with just the start screen of the nether background, and a tiny bit of text that seems to glitch out too

I tried joining a game though the xbox console companion for win10 and saw only glitches

tried restarting, reinstalling and resetting no change 
help
