I was going to spawn in an ocelot tame as my pet in my house (floor is carpet) and then it started to die! I think the problem is that carpet is not a full empty block, but 0.2 difference from normal also you can walk on carpet and see you jump. (see it? :O) The ocelot had plenty of room to walk so it is not dead in the wall.
