My son cannot play minecraft effectively on his tablet to create worlds, sign-in to Microsoft, and also cannot join a dedicated server I have setup for him
cannot create world:
step 0: play
step 1: create new
step 2: create new world
step 3: create
--> There was a problem loading this world
additional information: the worlds list is at first empty. After the attempt to create new world, the world is listed with the following info:
My world 01/01/70 0.01MB
clicking on edit for the world, ends up deleting it from the list (probably from the device as well).
cannot sign-in to microsoft account:
step 0: sign in
-> failed to login
we tried to sign in to your microsoft account, but something went wrong
additional information: I logged in to https://www.xbox.com/ with his account from another machine. the attempt was successful. The account is not disabled, or locked and the password I have for him is correct.
cannot sign-in to microsoft account:
step 0: Settings
step 1: Profile
step 2: Clean account sign in Data
step 3: Sign in for free!
step 4: Sign in for free
-> signing in with your microsoft account [*hangs* with equalisers moving]
cannot join dedicated server:
step 0: Friends
step 1: Lan Games/Dedicated Server [bedrock level - v1.16.200. 1/10]
step 2: Online play is not rated/Proceed
step 3: you need to authenticate to microsoft services. Ok
-> Connecting to multiplayer game [*hangs* with equalisers moving]
connection timed out. Unable to connect to world
additional information: on another tablet, for another profile, I successfully log in the the world on the dedicated server.
additional information:
joining a session from another player currently playing (e.g. not a dedicated server) works. so he plays with his sister whenever she plays minecraft, he joins her game.
I have tried removing and re-installing minecraft on the tablet, to no affect.
