My device had been affected from the October 2020 unsupporting of older devices, which had caused my Minecraft version to be stuck at 1.16.40 (I was not able to use it in the Affected Versions field). When I went to check my DirectX version to see what it was, it surprised me that when I found the version displayed to me by DirectX Diagnostic Tool, it was DirectX 12 instead of DirectX 10.1 or lower, which I had expected since Minecraft for Windows 10 had and still has warning messages about my version unable to play multiplayer and couldn't update to the newest version of Minecraft. Why is my version not able to update to the newest version, despite my computer being on a DirectX version higher than 10.1, and if Minecraft is meant to support my version, is there a way to force it to update?
