When you are in third person your player model casts a shadow but it appears that in first person your player model is not rendered causing your shadow not to appear. the first screenshot shows the dead bushes casting a shadow but the player not and the second image shows that in third person mode the player can indeed cast a shadow. to reproduce simply follow these steps

      1. Load up a world with ray tracing enabled above ground either at sunset or sunrise because that is when it is most noticeable.
      2. Then observe that in the default first person mode the other blocks and entities cast shadows but there is no player shadow.
      3. Press F5 and look around and look at how there is now a real time shadow of the player and whatever gear is being worn.

this same issue applies to reflections and I believe that fixing one will fix the other, this has been missing since the first RTX beta and i would greatly appreciate it being fixed although I can understand how this is a low priority issue for you when there are more pressing issues at hand such as the invisible villagers.

My system is running an RTX 2060 Super 8Gb and a Ryzen 5 3600, I have updated the Drivers and BIOS to the latest version available.
