PlayStation
I am experiencing connection issues when trying to join a friends world on the Playstation 4. Both of us have updated Minecraft and the system software to the latest edition, we both have separate Playstation Plus subscriptions, and we have tried uninstalling/reinstalling the game, resetting our router, and our NAT type is 2. I have tried hosting, they have tried hosting, we have attempted this with and without Microsoft accounts, and in the 'Old' Minecraft edition, with no success. Regardless of what steps we have taken, we receive the error message stating "Unable to connect to world.". I am not sure of any possible solutions that we can try, because we have literally exhausted all forms of troubleshooting.
Details on our consoles/network
Me: Playstation 4, connected via Ethernet cable to Router
Them: Playstation 4 Pro, connected via WiFi to community internet
Internet: Our apartment complex uses a community internet service, my router receives internet from the same provider, and we live together. There are no alternatives to the community internet service. We are able to play online together on other games. This is the only game experiencing issues.
