Treasure Chest and Map issues

      After I find Heart of the Sea, I was told by friends to destroy the treasure chest so the future maps will not have me return to the exact spot,but the future maps take me  back to the same location. Well I try digging again and I make a Giant Pit and No new treasure chest. 

      Can you guys help me out?   Thanks, Johnny
