You cannot able to remove item in creative recipe grid.

To produce bug add item in recipe grid then get the same item in your inventory and stack it at same place in Recipe grid then you can no longer remove that item in recipe grid.

To fixed it you need to quit your world then load again and the item will go to your inventory
