      Steam version will not link to Microsoft servers.  I have an old account, potentially the issue?  When I try to authenticate it fails. I have reinstalled the game, I have disabled cloud saves.  I have nuked the game to include the folders in both %appdata%/Roaming as well as in temp files. Every attempt to authenticate fails.  I have tried both my main account  'Gexleo'  and by logging in using an email address.

      Steps to Reproduce:

      1.  Install and Launch Game
      2.  Get past cut scenes
      3.  Click Settings
      4. Click Authenticate (Steam Overlay pops up)
      5. Type in credentials, or click previously authenticated credentials
        1. I tried both, authenticated with my Gexleo which future lets you one click reauthenticate
        2. I tried with an email to try the process again
      6. Click the green button to allow access
      7. Get the screen to close overlay
      8. The game will linger on the below screen:

        1. I have [x]'d it out
        2. I have [shift][tab] it out
        3. I have let it sit for 5 min, then the prior 2 methods
      9. get the error "We could not link your Microsoft Account at this time"

      I have tried additionally to edit .dat files found in roaming/<steam id numbers>/games/com.mojang/<numbers>.dat    My friend has much more info after he authnticated. Censored version of his:

      {
      "Pending" : null,
      "ProfileVersion" : 2,
      "Synchronized" : {
      "personaProfile" : {
      "personaCollection" : {
      "universalApp" : [

      { "id" : "<Stuff Here>", "isPlatformLocked" : false, "isTitleLocked" : false, "lastUsedPersonaSlot" : "persona_profile_legacy", "packId" : "<Stuff Here>", "typeId" : "skin" }

      ]
      },
      "version" : "0.0.1"
      }
      }
      }

      *My version of this file:*

      { "Pending" : null, "ProfileVersion" : 1, "Synchronized" : null }

      {}

      Observed Results:
        **  outlined in the steps above

      Expected Results:

      Should authenticate and let me play the game I paid $40 for with my friends online.

      Notes:
      It would be nice to have a working version of this game.  If I can get a refund on steam to get the version on xbox store or whatever.   I am missing out on all the fun with friends during this launch period and it is very disheartening.
