When I was in the Minecraft Launcher, I was trying to change versions of Minecraft Java Edition using the little drop down menu. The drop down menu was fine until I clicked one of the items and it didn't change the version.

What I expected to happen was...:
I thought it would just change versions.

What actually happened was...:
I clicked the drop down menu in the Minecraft Java edition launcher and I clicked a version and it the menu disappeared.

Steps to Reproduce:

1. Install Linux on your PC.
2. Open Minecraft Launcher to Java edition.
3. Click the drop down
4. Click an item in the drop down
