1.19 Java

Haven't played in a very long time. For some reason I had to buy Minecraft again since my old account kept showing that only Demo was active for Java version. I bought it and now when I try to connect to a server it asks for a username. Anything I've tried so far with a green checkmark beside it gives an unexpected error saying to restart the game. I've restarted twice and got the same error so far. Any help would be appreciate.
