The following error occurs when attempting to launch the Linux binary on a Linux machine with JRE 17 installed:

https://launchermeta.mojang.com/v1/products/launcher/6f083b80d5e6fabbc4236f81d0d8f8a350c665a9/linux.json MessageBox(Minecraft Launcher): Couldn't load launcher core from /home/<user>/.minecraft/launcher/liblauncher.so: LoadErrorNotPresent ----------------------------------------------------------------------- If this is your first time running Minecraft, please ensure you are connected to the internet so we can download updates.

Inspection of the bottom of the launcher log shows the following:

      [Info: 2022-08-31 16:20:00.387073916: StartLibrary.cpp(61)] Starting /.../liblauncher.so

[Error: 2022-08-31 16:20:00.387557323: LauncherPluginLinux.cpp(20)] Failed to load /home/<user>/.minecraft/launcher/liblauncher.so: libcups.so.2: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

      [Error: 2022-08-31 16:20:00.387572081: StartLibrary.cpp(90)] Couldn't load launcher core from /home/<user>/.minecraft/launcher/liblauncher.so: LoadErrorNotPresent

What is libcups.so.2, and why did the launcher not fetch it for me? My Internet connection is fine, and the launcher was able to download other files.
