Versions below 1.19 cannot launch using arm64 java runtime. As an instance, launching 1.18.2 requires java 17+, same as 1.19.x, but the launcher don't know which version to download or use. I tried to delete "minecraft" folder in /Users/username/Library/Application Support and cleared the trash bin, but it did not work.
