I have to log in every time the launcher is shown. I normally log in with a Microsoft account. The red error message 'Sorry! We were unable to get your account information. Please restart your launcher.' appears briefly. If I press Command-Q to quit and restart, the launcher freezes and has to be force-quitted. Here is a crash dump summary when that happens. I deleted my ~/Library/Application Support/minecraft folder, created a new user profile and redownloaded Minecraft Launcher, signed in. Problem still occurs on multiple sign-ins. Only noticed this problem for last 7 days.

Once logged in the game works as normal including lan/server play. Once the game is closed and the launcher is opened again, I have to log in again.

I have found a workaround.

1. Open the launcher
2. Press Microsoft Login
3. Log in with Microsoft account
4. Launch game
5. Quit game
6. Open the launcher again
7. Press Microsoft login
8. DO NOT ENTER A USERNAME. Instead, press the Back button (grey; adjacent to green Next button)
9. Minecraft launcher loads, SIGNED IN and READY TO PLAY

Clearly a caching issue, though after creating a new profile and re-downloading launcher it must be a bug rather than a file problem my end.

About window says: Minecraft Launcher version 1125 (1). 'Affected versions' number is not listed anywhere in the software.
