After the upgrade from Windows 10 education edition to Windows 11 Education, the launcher now refuses to remember my login credentials. This is a different issue.
When I do re-authenticate, it temporarily shows an error, and the play button instead says "play offline", and clicking on the link in the error: "View our troubleshooting guide here" takes me to https://help.minecraft.net/hc/en-us/articles/4408668374925-Secure-Token-Storage-Failure-on-Linux, which seems to me to be irrelevant
