After changing any Launcher (for Java Edition) setting(s) (e.g., "Open output log when Minecraft: Java Edition starts", "Use beta version of the launcher", etc.), even though the settings are successfully changed, after the launcher exits and is launched again, the settings are completely reset to their default values.
The preferences for each installed instance (e.g., changing the icon, Java switches/settings, etc.) are likewise not stored persistently, and require changing for each launcher execution in order to work. I've noticed this issue for years, to be honest, but was always too lazy to report it, so it's understandable it hasn't been fixed, but it would be very much appreciated if it were to be looked into.
As a software developer myself, I understand the busy schedules of our trade, and I'm a very patient man. But any fix would make me (and others, I'm sure) very happy. Thanks in advance, and please let me know if you need other information.
Regards, Frosztbyte (Sean Shepherd)
